Pratt & Whitney celebrates 30 years of service with the PW4000-94

June 21, 2017 Paris Air Show: Pratt & Whitney celebrates 30 years of service with the PW4000-94, the first of which was delivered in June 1987. Today, the Pratt & Whitney engine powers the Boeing 747, Boeing 767, McDonnell Douglas MD-11 and Airbus A300 and A310 aircraft. In addition, a variant of the PW4000-94 engine powers Boeing's KC-46 military air fuel refueling and strategic military transport aircraft. Over the past 30 years, more than 70 customers worldwide have used the PW4000-94 engine to power their aircraft; More than 2,500 of the engines have been delivered, totaling 135 million flight hours.
