(PRZWT)--On April 6, it was reported by foreign media that Tesla disclosed in the third chapter (Master Plan Part 3) of the "Grand Plan" released on Wednesday local time that its next generation of vehicles will include a small electric vehicle, which will be equipped with 53kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, and the sales volume is expected to be 42 million.

Foreign media reports suggest that Tesla's small electric vehicle may cost $25000 for the Model 2, also known as the Model Q.

In fact, as early as September 2021, there were rumors that Tesla's $25000 new electric vehicle would be named the Model Q and will be launched in 2023.

According to media reports, this small car priced at $25000 is positioned as the "small" Model Y. It is currently accelerating its design and plans to produce no less than 4 million vehicles annually, of which 2 million will be produced at the newly built super factory in Monterrey, Mexico. Its super factories in Berlin and Shanghai will each produce 1 million vehicles.

At the end of January this year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk also hinted that Tesla was developing a new car priced below $30000, which would compete head-on with mass market models from Toyota, Volkswagen, Ford, and General Motors.

In mid February of this year, foreign media reported that Volkswagen's ID.2 electric vehicle would compete with Tesla's expected price of $25000. ID.2 will be the first Volkswagen model built on Volkswagen's new MEB-Plus platform, equipped with lithium iron phosphate prismatic batteries and a more traditional hatchback shape. It is expected to start selling in 2023.

In terms of price, the starting price of ID.2 is expected to be 22500 euros ($239.38 million), which may make it a strong challenger to low-cost electric vehicles in Europe, including Tesla's small electric vehicle, which is expected to sell for $25000.
