(PRZWT)-On April 6th, according to foreign media reports, Tesla stated in its annual compliance report to Travis County, Texas that in 2022, the number of employees at its Texas super factory more than tripled, from 3523 in 2021 to 12277 by the end of 2022.
The Texas Super Factory is Tesla's fifth factory after the Nevada Super Factory, New York Super Factory, Shanghai Super Factory, and Berlin Super Factory. It is also Tesla's fourth automotive assembly factory after the Fremont Factory, Shanghai Factory, and Berlin Factory.
The factory was confirmed for construction in the summer of 2020 and opened on April 7, 2022. Currently, it only produces Model Y, and plans to produce the upcoming Cybertruck electric pickup there in the future.
Last Sunday, Tesla announced that its Texas super factory has reached a new milestone of producing 4000 cars per week. However, the factory still lags behind the Berlin Super Factory, which reached the milestone of producing 4000 cars per week in February of this year and reached 5000 vehicles per week in March of this year.
According to Tesla's annual compliance report, by the end of 2022, the company had invested $5.81 billion in the Texas Super Factory.
Since moving Tesla headquarters from Palo Alto, California to Texas in 2021, Tesla has made significant progress in reshaping the Texas capital (Austin) as a major technology center. In addition, the arrival of Tesla has also led the state in job growth in the United States.
According to foreign media reports, among all Tesla factories, including the Fremont factory in California, the Texas Super Factory has the highest number of employees.
