(PRZWT)-On April 7th, according to foreign media reports, Disney has appointed Hulu President Joe Earley as Disney Entertainment's President of Direct Consumer Business, responsible for streaming businesses including Disney+and Hulu.
According to reports, Erli will replace Michael Paul, who has been working at Disney for 6 years, who is about to leave the company. In addition, Disney stated that Earley will continue to lead Hulu until a successor is determined.
Eri joined Disney in January 2019 and was responsible for the marketing and operations of Disney+. In January 2022, he was appointed as the President of Hulu, reporting to Paul, who was then the President of Disney's streaming business.
Previously, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the company would be reorganized into three core business departments: Disney Entertainment, ESPN and Disneyland, and Experience and Products.
After Disney's restructuring, Alan Bergman and Dana Walden were appointed as co chairs of Disney Entertainment. After serving as the President of the Direct Consumer Business, Erli will report directly to Bergman and Walden.
