/PRZWT/On November 27th, the 14th China Food Health Seven-Star Award Ceremony was grandly held in Shanghai. Starfield won the "Newcomer of the Year Award" in its first participation, demonstrating the vitality and potential of the emerging innovative force in the food industry, thanks to its outstanding performance in continuous innovation in the plant-based food field, high-standard food safety system construction, and sustainable practices.
As an active advocate and powerful promoter in the field of food safety and public health in China, the Seven-Star Alliance leverages the efforts of the government, enterprises, associations, and the media to promote the all-round development of China's food industry. Since its establishment, the Seven-Star Alliance has held the "China Food Health Seven-star Award" for 14 consecutive years. Through enterprise registration, initial questionnaire screening, enterprise interviews, expert reviews, and list release, it aims to encourage more enterprises to assume social responsibilities and safeguard consumers' health rights and interests. It has become an authoritative award with high credibility and influence in China's food industry. It is also the guardian and barometer of quality and trust in China's food industry. Among them, the "Newcomer of the Year Award" aims to recognize first-time participating enterprises that have performed outstandingly in product innovation, supply chain management and sustainable development.
Starfield was founded in 2019 and is one of the representative brands in the domestic plant-based food sector. Since its establishment, Starfield has been committed to the research and development and production of plant-based and plant protein foods. Adhering to the concept of "Making health more delicious", Starfield has continuously delved into the fields of food science, nutrition, molecular sensory science and protein recombination, exploring more delicious, healthier, more natural and more balanced plant-based expression methods.
Currently, Starfield's product matrix has expanded from plant-based meat to innovative soy products, snacks and plant-based condiments, forming a product experience covering multiple consumption scenarios such as catering, retail supermarkets and new-style tea beverages. Meanwhile, through partnerships with over 100 well-known brands, Starfield is bringing an increasing number of plant-based foods into more familiar and frequent daily consumption scenarios.
The food industry is a typical essential industry. It is also a complex and highly sensitive chain that spans multiple links from raw materials to the dining table. Among them, food safety is the foundation of all links and the core that supports the stable operation of the entire system.
Since its establishment, Starfield has always regarded food safety as an unshakable fundamental principle. In terms of food safety management and supply chain security, Starfield has established a full-chain food safety management system covering multiple departments such as products, R&D, supply chain, production, and quality. It standardizes and professionalizes management from raw material management, quality control to production processes, and continuously ensures that every link can stand the test through technological innovation and system optimization.
In terms of production capacity building, Starfield announced in 2022 that it would build its own production base in Xiaogan, Hubei Province. Currently, the base has a flexible manufacturing capacity of approximately 60,000 tons per year, capable of covering multiple categories and specifications of products such as plant-based meat, innovative soy products, condiments and snacks. The Starfield Xiaogan production base not only can provide stable B-end supply, such as plant-based beef Patty, plant-based ham slices and other plant-based meat products, as well as small ingredients like peach gum, rice, mochi and sweet potato, but also has direct production capacity for the C-end market, offering innovative soy products like egg tofu, pocket salad bars and plum tofu, as well as light-burden snacks. Bring consumers a more diverse and easy-to-choose plant-based product experience.
It is worth mentioning that the Starfield Xiaogan production base received an A rating when it first applied for BRCGS certification in 2022. This year, it met the audit standards without prior notice (unannounced audit) and was upgraded to an A+ rating, once again demonstrating its strict requirements for food quality and safety during daily production.
Meanwhile, as a company with plant-based food at its core, sustainable development is the natural DNA of Starfield. By enhancing the diversity and accessibility of plant-based foods, Starzero is also continuously promoting public participation in health and sustainability issues in a more relaxed way without changing their daily habits. From the # Earth's Good Food Power # campaign to the #10%, Imperfect Sustainability # initiative, and then to the "Starfield POP-UP" that brings plant-based foods into music festivals and park coffee festivals, Starfield has attempted to use more genuine and fun ways to allow more consumers to have a relaxed encounter with plant-based foods. Make plant-based diets and other sustainable practices a lifestyle that is accessible, experiential, sustainable and shareable.
Winning the "China Food Health Seven-star Award - Newcomer of the Year Award" this time is an industry recognition of Starfield's phased achievements in plant-based food innovation and supply chain construction. In the future, Starfield will continue to be driven by food technology and innovation, safeguard food safety with higher standards, and promote plant-based foods to become a visible and accessible part of daily life with a more diverse product matrix and a more natural consumption experience. At the same time, Starfield will also join hands with more partners in the industrial chain to provide more sustainable dietary solutions and jointly build a healthier and more resilient food system.
