From the CES Honorary Award to the IFA Best Design Award, Vidda C5 breaks new ground in the field of domestic projectors.

/PRZWT/ As the "Spring Festival Gala" of the global consumer electronics industry, CES (International Consumer Electronics Show) has always been a battleground for tech giants to showcase their prowess, and it is also a trend indicator for the technological lifestyle in the coming year. Under the spotlight of Las Vegas, there are not only battles over cutting-edge concepts, but also a test of the strength of hard-core products. 

It is worth noting that among this year's CES award list, the Chinese fashion-tech brand Vidda has become the focus. Following the stunning performance of IFA 2025 in Europe, the Vidda C5 seamless (hereinafter referred to as Vidda C5) won the CES 2026 Honorary Award with its revolutionary tricolor laser technology and its first-ever SST cinema-level chip architecture, demonstrating its innovative strength in laser projection technology.

Having won awards at both the CES and IFA world-class exhibitions consecutively, Vidda has sent out a message to the world: Chinese brands have already acquired the technical capabilities to compete head-on with traditional giants like Sony and Epson in the high-end laser display field. 

Previously, Vidda had been deeply involved in the field of tricolor laser for many years and launched the world's first 4K tricolor laser projector C1 in 2022. Since then, Vidda has maintained an "annual update" schedule, and with the Vidda C5, it has even proclaimed the slogan of "the performance ceiling within 200,000 yuan". Unlike the common "patchwork" approaches in the market, Vidda C5 has undergone a complete reconfiguration of its architecture. The C5 Infinity is equipped with the industry's first SST architecture 0.47-inch DMD chip, which is applied to consumer-grade projectors. Compared to the TRP architecture chips commonly used in the industry before, the power density of the SST architecture has increased to 60W/cm², three times that of the previous generation, and is capable of delivering brightness output up to tens of thousands of lumens. Such remarkable capabilities were previously only available in cinemas with a million-dollar budget. 

Meanwhile, the Vidda C5 is equipped with two MCL39 industrial-grade lasers, enabling it to achieve a true brightness of 6800 CVIA lumens. Combined with an original contrast ratio of 8000:1, the traditional projection often requires "day sleeping and night waking" and pulling the curtains to clearly view the picture, which will no longer be the case. 

Even in a bright-lit living room during the day, or in an environment with the main light turned on at night, the Vidda C5 can still project vivid and detailed images with rich colors. The Vidda C5 is truly a game-changer, as the metaphor at the launch event suggests, it represents a qualitative leap from a "three-cylinder engine" to a "W12 engine". 

In order to fully utilize the hardware capabilities of Vidda C5, the design team also made a bold breakthrough in the optical system. The C5 Unbound is equipped with a Φ122mm cinema-grade large lens, consisting of 17 pure glass lenses inside, and is encapsulated in a full-metal barrel. Its resolution reaches over 100,000 levels. 

More importantly, it is equipped with an uncommon tilt-shift lens technology in the industry, allowing for a large range of adjustment of ±46% in the horizontal direction and ±130% in the vertical direction. Combined with a projection ratio of 0.84-2.0:1 and a 2.38x lossless optical zoom, it can almost fit all home installation scenarios. Whether it's a high-ceilinged living room in a villa or an irregular audio-visual room, the Vidda C5 can achieve perfect imaging at any position. This is precisely the core reason behind the naming "Unbound". 

Furthermore, Vidda C5 also meets the demands of the streaming media era. Addressing the problem of high-bitrate video content for projectors having no suitable storage location, C5 is highly forward-thinking and is equipped with 1T independent storage and Wi-Fi 7. Users do not need to set up a complex NAS system separately; they can store dozens of Blu-ray original disc movies locally. 

The nearly doubled brightness, more advanced chip architecture, more comprehensive optical adjustment capabilities, and the measures that meet the demands of the streaming media era - these are precisely the reasons why Vidda C5 can outperform its competitors and frequently win awards. Compared with similar products in the market at the same price range, the advantages of the C5 borderless model are obvious. The emergence of the C5 borderless marks a milestone for domestic laser projectors, shifting from "followers" to "definers".

Apart from the C5 unbounded projector, at this CES exhibition, Vidda also presented two highly attractive new wearable products. The debut of these two products showcases Vidda's brand ambition to expand from display devices to the intelligent audio ecosystem. 

Firstly, Vidda targeted the open-air headphone market and launched the Vidda V11 ear-cuff headphones. With a weight of only 5.5g per unit and a titanium-nickel alloy C bridge clip, it offers an almost imperceptible comfortable experience during all-day wear, and is unlikely to fall off even during exercise. 

In terms of sound quality, the 11mm ultra-large dynamic coil unit, combined with the professional tuning by Danish Vifa, delivers deep bass and clear, transparent mid-high frequency human voices, far exceeding the "loudness" level of competitors at the same price range. What's more considerate is that the V11 adopts DT3.0 directional sound wave transmission technology, combined with a 6.5° golden angle and reverse sound field filtering, so that there is almost no sound leakage beyond 20cm, making it unnecessary to worry about disturbing others when listening to music in public places. In terms of battery life, each ear lasts for 8.5 hours, and when combined with the charging case, the total battery life can reach 36 hours. This is more than enough for a week of daily use with just one charge. 

Secondly, there is the Vidda AI Audio Glasses G11. At the CES event, many participants wore them and were amazed at how comfortable they were, just like regular glasses. 

In terms of application scenarios, G11 has abandoned the flashy AR display and focused on "listening" and "AI interaction". For professionals in the workplace, it is an efficient office assistant that supports AI audio summarization and can generate meeting minutes with a single click. For travel enthusiasts, it supports voice/gesture control, enabling not only listening to music and making calls, but also allowing users to instantly wake up the AI model for voice interaction at any time. This "light burden, heavy practicality" design concept has enabled smart glasses to truly possess the value of being worn all day long, becoming a sensory extension for users to connect with the digital world.
