(PRZWT)-On April 14th, according to foreign media reports, on Thursday local time, Amazon's cloud computing department, Amazon Cloud Services (AWS), announced the launch of a Large Language Model (LLM) called Titan and a Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) service called Bedrock.

Amazon's move comes as its competitors Microsoft and Google integrate artificial intelligence chat robots into their search engines and cloud businesses. In this regard, Amazon is not willing to fall behind and has joined the artificial intelligence competition between Microsoft and Google.

According to reports, Amazon Cloud Services has launched a core product called Bedlock, which is a new service used to create and expand generative artificial intelligence applications that can generate text, images, audio, and synthesized data based on prompts.

This new service allows enterprise customers to customize basic models using their own data, as well as allowing customers to design and build generative artificial intelligence applications using the Titan series basic models developed by AWS and models from third-party companies such as AI21 Labs, Aerospace, and Stability AI. Therefore, AWS customers can flexibly choose to use the best model to meet their specific needs.

The AWS server that powers Bedrock will not only use NVIDIA chips, but also use Amazon's customized artificial intelligence chips.

In addition to Bedlock, Amazon Cloud Services has also launched Titan, which includes two new big language models: the first is a generative big language model for tasks such as summarization, text generation, classification, open Q&A, and information extraction; The second is a large language model that can translate text input (words, phrases, and even lengthy articles) into numerical expressions containing semantics. At present, the company has not disclosed too many details about Titan's technical specifications.

On Thursday local time, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy mentioned in an open letter to shareholders that he would vigorously invest in the currently popular large-scale language models and generative artificial intelligence.

He stated that large-scale language models and generative AI are the core capabilities that enable Amazon to innovate in every business area for the next few decades, significantly accelerating the application of machine learning that Amazon has been deeply cultivating for 25 years.
